A working archive becoming a media platform
Gary’s Shed is a connected archive, publishing house, and operating environment. It began with the practical work of preserving a life’s material: photographs, documents, correspondence, professional connections, music, and ideas. It is now being organised into a public network of specialist sites, programmes, and agent-led projects.
The aim is straightforward: make useful work discoverable without losing its source. The ledger preserves the record. Agents provide attention, judgement, and continuity. The publishing layer turns selected material into pages, audio, video, and tools that people can follow.
